Jolanta was born in southern Poland, but moved to England where she spent almost 30 years living in Cambridgeshire. She was involved in a family business and devoted her time to various charities and had not yet discovered her talent for art.
In 2007 she moved to Toronto, Canada.
It was there that she met a Polish/Canadian artist Elizabeth Kawala, who discovered that Jolanta had an 'untapped and untrained' talent for art.
Although having no previous training of any kind, Jolanta started to paint...and the results were that a new and undiscovered artist had been found.
Her work blends strong use of bold colours, beautiful and powerful brush strokes, with a touch of surrealism and abstract overtones..a unique style that is immediately recognized as her very own.
Through the encouragement of various fellow artists her work has flourished and she constantly produces works of art that amaze those who have had professional art training. If ever there was a natural, God-given talent, then Jolanta is a fine example of that.
Her art is featured in homes all around the world and she is one of the most popular artists on Fine Art America.
Jolanta wants and hopes that her art manages to touch ones heart and soul, to stir emotions, and to link us with the beauty of nature.
She is also a fine photographer..another passion of her immense talent.
She also would like others to know, whether they are trained, untrained, or just contemplating creating art in any form, 'That we all have creativity within us just waiting to be unleashed. Pick up a pencil, a pen, a paintbrush, and just start..you never know what talent you have hidden until you allow it to be expressed..'
Jolanta is also a pianist, has always enjoyed music of all kinds, and had an interest in art from her early years...never knowing that she had the talent to create it.
Special thanks from Jolanta...
To my Mentor – an accomplished artist, musician and above all - my dearest friend Tyler Robbins – my heartfelt and sincere thanks for being my guide and support... I will never be able to sufficiently express my gratitude and appreciativeness for the knowledge and artistic guidance I have received from him.
I am so thankful for his caring, motivating, inspirational, and friendly mentor like him.. for believing in me, encouraging me and strengthening me!
Perhaps the best way to express what I feel would be through the poem by Theresa Genter..
My Mentor, My Friend
“ Thank you for allowing me
the opportunity
to learn from you..
when I was seeking so much knowledge..
when I was asking many questions..
you patiently listened and answered accordingly
never showing signs of frustration.
Thank you for taking the time
to show me the necessary skills today
that will lead me with confidence into tomorrow...
for believing in me and having enough faith
to share your work,
your dreams and your vision.
Thank you for accepting me as I am..
with all my eagerness and my sheer joy over the little things...
you never tried to squelch that spirit in me..
Instead, you have encouraged that spirit
and for that, I do thank you!
I realized the knowledge I need for work can be learned anywhere,
taught by most anyone..
but the life skills I needed that go along with it...
well, that would have to be taught by a very unique individual..
with a very special gift for giving
a gift of patience and understanding
that someone is you, my Mentor
and now, my friend.”
She appreciates all the support and encouragement she has received from artists all over the world..and sends her sincere thanks to all of them.
Your comments on my work are greatly appreciated. Thanks for visiting my gallery.
